Biography

Mattie Hardin Tondreault was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. After graduating from George Jenkins High School, Mrs. Tondreault attended Appalachian State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Political Science, cum laude. While at Appalachian State, Mrs. Tondreault became an ambassador for the College of Business as a member of the Walker Fellows. In 2011, Mrs. Tondreault was selected to be a member of The Walker College of Business Holland International Business Fellowship. In Mrs. Tondreault’s senior year at Appalachian State University, she was elected by her peers to be the Vice President of the Student Body. Mrs. Tondreault spent the year working with Appalachian State’s administration, board of trustees, and faculty in order to better student life on campus.

In the fall of 2012, Mrs. Tondreault went on to attend her father’s alma mater, Mercer University School of Law, and graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude. While attending law school, Mrs. Tondreault was also a member of the school’s mock trial team and competed nationwide against fellow law students. In the spring of 2015, Mrs. Tondreault was awarded for Best Direct Examination in the American Bar Association’s National Criminal Justice Trial Competition in Chicago, Illinois.

After graduating law school, Mrs. Tondreault returned to Polk County and became an Assistant State Attorney in Bartow, Florida serving under both State Attorney Jerry Hill and Brian Haas. At the State Attorney’s Office, Mrs. Tondreault worked in the Misdemeanor Division, Felony Division and Special Victims Unit, successfully trying over fifty jury trials, which included Attempted Murder, DUI Manslaughter and Capital Sexual Battery convictions. Mrs. Tondreault spent 3.5 years at the State Attorney’s Office prior to joining the firm.

Mrs. Tondreault’s practice at the firm focuses on civil litigation matters that include real property litigation, construction litigation, disputed real estate transactions, contracts and other business-related litigation.
