Biography:
While attending Barry Law, Mr. Katz was a member of the school’s mock trial team and competed nationwide against fellow law students. Mr. Katz was selected to be a Dean’s Study Fellow, a program unique to Barry Law, which selects a handful of students to conduct formal review workshops in courses they previously excelled in. Mr. Katz hosted weekly workshops for courses including Contract Law, Tort Law, and Commercial Law. As the top student in his Contract Law class, Mr. Katz received a Book Award in Contract Law.
In Mr. Katz’s third year, he was invited to join Barry Law’s Juvenile Defense Clinic, where he gained experience defending low-income children faced with serious criminal charges. Mr. Katz worked in small collaborative groups tasked with drafting motions and discussing legal arguments. Mr. Katz was also elected president of Phi Alpha Delta, an internationally recognized legal fraternity, during his third year of law school. As President, Mr. Katz hosted numerous workshops on trial advocacy and Florida’s standards of ethics.
In 2025, Mr. Katz joined the firm. Mr. Katz’s practice areas at the firm focus on civil litigation, including real property, construction defects, contract formation, real estate transactions and other business-related issues.
