Dan graduated from Wabash College (Crawfordsville, Indiana) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. After working for the family business for a year, Mr. Fox moved to Jacksonville, Florida to attend law school.
In 2011, Mr. Fox graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in Sports Law. Dan’s sports law thesis paper took an econometric approach in analyzing the impact of state income tax rates on free agency in professional sports. While attending law school, Dan was a legislator in the Student Bar Association and worked at the Florida Office of the Attorney General in the Economic Crimes Division.
Mr. Fox brings to the firm a broad knowledge and experience in the default mortgage servicing industry, having worked on both the corporate and litigation ends. Since joining the firm in 2014, Dan’s practice has been focused on commercial & civil litigation, business law, construction, real estate & land use, foreclosures, and collections. He also handles the vast majority of the firm’s appellate work.
Mr. Fox, an Eagle Scout, volunteered extensively with Boy Scout troops based out of two of Jacksonville’s public housing units. He now serves his community as a member of the Rotary Club of Lakeland South and the Sheriff’s Advisory Council. Dan’s wife, Allison, is a Polk County native and is also an attorney. They currently live in Winter Haven with their three daughters.
